Keto mozzarella sticks are a simple child inviting low carb bite or starter. Keep a portion of these gluten free cheddar sticks in the cooler for a brisk chomp whenever.

I've been dealing with making more keto plans for children to urge my entire family to eat more advantageous. Fortunately, we have no extraordinary dietary needs to stress over which makes it simpler.

My children have consistently delighted in singed breaded cheddar sticks. However, I have an issue with the high carb covering stacked with wheat flour. So I set out for a low carb elective.

It took me a couple of attempts to get the formula on the money. Yet, I trust I nailed these keto mozzarella sticks after the third attempt. What's more, the response from my children was sufficient for me to consider it a triumph.

It's too simple to make low carb cheddar sticks at home. You simply coat string cheddar in a gluten free flour breading and fry until fresh. Obviously, the flour you use should be keto cordial also.

INGREDIENTS

  • 16.5 oz package yellow cake mix, or flavor of your choice
  • 6 oz plain fat-free Greek yogurt, Chobani
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • baking spray
  • 48 oz Wilton colored candy melts, 20 oz used total, calculated in n.i*
  • sprinkles

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a the cake pop pan with baking spray.
  2. Combine all the cake ingredients in a large mixing bowl and beat until combined.
  3. Place the batter into a pastry bag or large ziplock bag with the tip cut off.
  4. Pipe the batter into the prepared cake pop pan and bake about 18 minutes (I rotated the pan after 10 minutes to be sure they baked evenly). Let it rest 5 minutes before opening the pan.
  5. Place cake balls on a wire rack and repeat with remaining batter.
  6. Using a scissor, cut the seam off the balls.
  7. Refrigerate the cake balls for about 45 minutes, this helps the chocolate stick to the cake.
  8. Melt some of the white chocolate melts in the microwave according to package directions, careful not to burn the chocolate.
  9. Insert the tip of a bamboo skewer into the melted chocolate, then into the cake ball (this helps hold the stick in place) and dip each ball into the chocolate, then onto a sheet of wax paper.
  10. To cover the little hole you get from the skewer, dip the stick in the melted chocolate, then onto the hole.
  11. Repeat with the remaining balls and chocolate topping with sprinkles as you dip before the chocolate hardens, or drizzle with chocolate if desired.
