Creamy & Rich Gourmet Hot Chocolate #healthydrink #drinkrecipe #smoothiehealthy #cocktail

Sound the alerts, this is the best hot cocoa I've had since Max Brenner's Italian Thick Hot Chocolate. Gracious mannnn it is GOOD. Be that as it may, like...super wanton and rich and smooth. On the off chance that that is not your pack this isn't for you. That is alright, Michael's much the same as you, feel free to make your hot cocoa with a lower proportion of chocolate or even just cocoa powder. That is cool. We can oppose this idea. In any case, on the off chance that you're similar to me (*cough*smart*cough*) at that point you're going to LUUUURVE this.

Now...this hot cocoa is consummately impeccable all alone BUT it is next level AMAZINGNESS when you include a bit of custom made whipped cream on top. It makes it creamier and dreamier and significantly increasingly liberal. We're not pondering our waistlines while we drink this. We're simply pondering how warm and upbeat it causes us to feel and how magnificent it is that we face a daily reality such that hot cocoa this awesome exists.

I worked my loved ones into a tantrum when I posted the above photograph on my instagram and facebook. I wound up making this again for my cousin when she visited a week ago on the grounds that she gave me the little dog eyes and asked goodness so sweetly. Most likely unnecessary...I was going to take any reason to make this delicious beverage once more. Hello, do you wanna come over and have hot cocoa???

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (can be substituted for just whole milk-still delicious just slightly less rich!)
  • 1 tbsp. powdered sugar (or to taste)
  • Optional-1/4 tsp. espresso powder
  • 4 oz. dark chocolate (60-80%), chopped
  • Optional-fresh whipped cream for serving (I just whip some heavy cream and add a little bit of powdered sugar to taste)

Preparation:

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and espresso powder until hot and beginning to steam, with small bubbles around the edges-don't let it boil.
  2. Turn heat to low and add in the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until completely melted and thickened.
  3. Serve warm in two mugs, topped with fresh whipped cream!
